Niramaya is a health insurance scheme launched by The National Trust under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. It is specifically designed for persons with disabilities covered under the National Trust Act — including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation, and Multiple Disabilities. The scheme provides a single premium across all age bands with the same coverage regardless of disability type, making quality healthcare accessible and affordable for every family.

No medical tests required before enrolment. Anyone with a valid disability certificate can apply directly.
Treatment can be taken from any registered hospital across the entire country — no network restrictions.
Speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and other ongoing therapies are included in the coverage.
The Niramaya scheme covers five major sections with a combined overall limit of ₹1,00,000 per person per year. All claims are on a reimbursement basis.

All claims are on a reimbursement basis only. The sub-allocations above may undergo annual alteration based on the agreement between the National Trust and the Insurance Provider. Always check the latest benefit chart on the National Trust website before making a claim.
Niramaya is available to all persons with disabilities covered under the National Trust Act — which includes children and adults with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation, and Multiple Disabilities. There is no age bar and no medical test required.

Fill in the Niramaya application form via the link below. You can apply directly as an individual or through KLI as your registered NGO.
Pay the annual premium online through the National Trust payment portal. Premium amounts are kept minimal to ensure affordability.
Download your Niramaya E-Card from the portal. This card is your proof of insurance and must be presented when making claims.
After treatment, collect all original bills, prescriptions, and reports. Submit your claim through the dedicated helpline or portal for reimbursement.
All Niramaya claims are processed on a reimbursement basis — you pay for treatment first and then claim the amount back. Keep all original documents carefully after every treatment.
